Return to Work Coordination is an essential component of a Disability Management Program.

As an integral element of a Disability Management program that focuses on returning an employee to work after an accident / injury / illness whether it occurred within the workplace or outside of the workplace.

What
Return to Work Coordination is a process facilitated by a return to work specialist who coordinates a meeting between an employee and employer. The goal is to help integrate the employee back into the work environment.

Why
The focus of a return to work program provides the employer an opportunity to reduce lost productivity costs that occur as a result of an individual who is off work due to an accident/injury/illness. The intervention identifies strategies that will help the employee return to work with minimal time lost.

How
A return to work specialist will work with the employer and the employee to identify barriers that might prevent a worker from successfully returning to their job. We work to identify accommodations / services that could eliminate and/or reduce the impact of barriers in an effort to help an employee transition back into the work environment.

Our return to work specialists work in conjunction with our care management team as a central contact point or liaison between internal and external stakeholders such as community health care providers, insurers, WSIB, other service providers (i.e. counseling, rehabilitation programs etc.) to ensure a safe and successful return for the employee.

Why return to work coordination is so important:

What are the benefits for my organization?

OUR GOAL IS TO HELP THE EMPLOYER REDUCE COSTS RELATED TO ABSENCE THROUGH EARLY INTERVENTION AND RETURN TO WORK COORDINATION.
