Position - WC / WSIB Specialist

We are looking for a proven team player to join our dynamic group as a WC/WSIB Specialist. The Specialist will be responsible for establishing a well coordinated, goal oriented management strategy on individual disability claims.
Location: Open to all  provinces in Canada

Overview:

• Reporting to the Principal of the company, you will work with our clients to assist with WC / WSIB claims management including appeals
• Assist our clients to design and implement Health and Safety programs as required
• Undertake communications with Ministry of Labour on our clients behalf
• Assist with WSIB & Health & Safety projects
• Improve health and safety records with our clients, including strategies to decrease accidents and incidents
• Manage ongoing employee training programs
• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly cost statements
• Look for cost retention opportunities
• Perform client  training as required
• Knowledge of WC/WSIB and experience with Appeals
• Evaluate success of programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post Secondary certificate / diploma / degree and or extensive experience
• Experience with WSIB claims / appeals
• Working knowledge of MOL regulations and WSIB / WC  protocols
• CRSP designation and / or paralegal or working towards
• Computer literacy
